About

Snowboardmuseum.com

Snowboard history you can touch.
At the foot of the Hochkeil in Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Salzburg, one of Europe’s largest snowboard collections tells the story of riding sideways on snow. It starts with the earliest precursors and runs through to the boards of today. The collection holds more than 1,800 snowboards from all over the world. Alongside them are bindings, boots, outerwear, magazines, videos and the small accessories that defined a culture.
The aim of the Snowboardmuseum is to document and preserve the development of the snowboard and its history.
The Snowboardmuseum conceives and curates the permanent snowboard exhibition housed in the Salzburger Landesskimuseum in Werfenweng. The museum’s curators Pez and Lilo have also organized various pop-up exhibitions and there is our permanent exhibition in the hostel Hochkeilhaus.
